The daily quant publication

Signal, only when the data earns it.

QuantNow publishes exceptions, not tables. Every item must cross a fixed statistical threshold and survive source-level quality checks before it reaches this page.

No threshold crossings

The tape is quiet.

None of the monitored power indicators cleared both the significance and data-quality gates. We will not manufacture a headline to fill the page.

Launch research

Three lenses. One editorial test.

We watch continuously, but publish only the observations that break from their own history.

01

Regional premium

AI-corridor power

North and West ERCOT hubs measured against Houston and South, scored on first-published history.

02

System pressure

Grid stress

Actual ERCOT demand translated into a trailing percentile, with source reconciliation before publication.

03

Positioning

Natural-gas crowding

Managed-money futures positioning compared only within the consistent post-2010 CFTC taxonomy.

The method

Unusual is not the same as wrong.

Every source response lands immutably before parsing. Units, timestamps, gaps, staleness, and extreme values are checked before an indicator can be scored. EIA and ERCOT load are reconciled independently.

History stays honest.

Statistics use the first value available at the time, not a revised value substituted later. Each published item freezes its input vintages, score, and methodology.

One email. Zero filler.

The same threshold-gated edition, delivered once each Sydney morning—even when the honest count is zero.
